First Stop: Barcelona

Dear Mom and Dad,

Our trek to Barcelona wasnt the easiest. It wasnt terrible but the word LONG definitely comes into play. After we made it to the airport and got ready to board our plane, they delayed it three hours which inevitably meant we were going to miss our connecting flight from Lisbon to Barcelona. The airline did give us $30 worth of snack vouchers, so we stocked up our snack game. Three hours meant more wine and lots of downtime. We had to hurry through security in Lisbon and barely made it to our gate on time. The weird thing about customs is we did them in Lisbon and recived a stamp bit not in Spain. Like wth? I want my Spain stamp for my passport. We literally walked out the door in Barcelona.

We took a $45 cab to our hostel and finally checked in. Omg, it is sooo cute. We are staying in the “Coral Suite,” which is at the Amistad Hostel and is a private room with a private bathroom. Our hostel offers many activities, and  I’m most looking forward to doing yoga on the beach and a salsa dance class. Mike will do whatever as long as I let him sleep in. I guess after working seven days a week and 12 hours a day his vacation involves sleep. We are also located within a five minute walk of four different beaches. The first one is called “Mar Bella” and is a NUDE beach. You know that was the first stop after a much needed shower. My claws didn’t have to come out too far as the average nude person was a male about 60 years old and slightly overweight. After exploring we ended the night  with appetizers of peppers, sausage, and bread. We went to a different place for pizza, and of course wine was consumed at both places. We forgot to take a pic of the pizza. I did take a dip in the Balearic Sea. (Fully in a swimsuit. For now)

Love always,

The Spaniards
