Zoo Visit

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today, we visited the zoo and had a lot of fun!  The first picture is of us traveling into the exhibits. We didn't drive into any of them, but it felt like you were in every one because of the design of the zoo. There were virtually no visible fences, and many of them were very open

Well, I was the first to cry on the trip. This lizard was not happy to be around humans. It hissed, slithered its tongue at us, and whipped its tail to try to scare us away. We needed to get  around in   order to get to the next exhibit. The boys went first and jumped behind it. When it was my turn, the thing backed up  and I had to take cover in the tall leaves. Then as I stood there assessing the situation a GIANT black bug flew by me. It was a least the size of my fist and continued to fly there,  so I was trapped. The couple in the background took pity on me and help move foliage, so I could get around. Tears were flowing.

The feeding of the white tiger was fun to watch.  It would lazily grab the chicken wings if it was in its reach.

Giraffes

The lion is eyeing the chicken wing as it flys towards it. You can see it in the top left corner.

Riding the tortoise.

Chimps were so cute playing with each other.

The only animal I felt safe sitting next to. The bird.

Charlie and his favorite animals the otters. He  was disappointed that they were all sleeping, so he had to make do with the statues.

I can't get these next two pictures to format like the others; however, they are from the elephant show, which was not very exciting.

Overall, we loved the zoo!

Tomorrow, we are riding a bus for 5 hours to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We should have wifi at our hostel, so I'll update then.

Love,

The Ungmohs (Chinese word for "white people" when they are secretly talking about us. Helly taught us that.)
